These Los Angeles markets are all within minutes of each other and are definitely worth visiting, especially the Santa Monica Farmers Market. Situated in downtown Santa Monica, the greenmarket opens every Wednesday and Saturday. Insider tip? Go on a Wednesday morning and you might spot familiar chef faces shopping for their restaurants. Afterwards, stop by Andrew’s Cheese Shop from cheese pro Andrew Steiner, a former "Maitre d’Fromage" at Patina restaurant. One thing I love are the little cards they give you with each cheese you buy, inscribed with little stories: where it's from, what notes to taste for and even what wine to pair it with. Once you've filled your totes with cheese, head to Belcampo Meat Co., which sells meats and products at a level you'd expect at high-end restaurants. From dry-aged cuts and salumi to bone broth and cured lardo, Belcampo has an incredible variety to select from. They also pride themselves on offering products that are sustainable and humane—good to the land and good to the animals.—L.A.'s Maria Nguyen of The Art of Plating (@theartofplating) and F&W's Around the World Network
