I love the wines of the Rhone. Now for one thing picture this place. It's a river, the Rhone River, flowing through southern France. The vineyards are on the hillsides around the river and the regions surrounding that, but either way you're looking at spicy red wines with a lot of character and a lot of body. For me these are the wines that go with Passolay, that go with lamb stew, that go with that kind of classic provensau southern French cooking. And the nice thing about the royne is that, affordable wines? Plenty of them.
