One of my favorite tips that takes care of kind of like a little bit of a cooking shortcut, but also helps you take advantage of affordability at the farmer's market. But tomatoes at the end of the season, and freeze them. When you want to make just a really great salad or tomato sauce- or super something really simple. You take it out of the freezer, thaws, the skin slips right off, so that you don't have to scour the backend and blanche it and shock it, and all of that jazz. It's fast, it's easy, and you end up getting heirloom tomatoes for like a dollar a pound.
