Some of the best restaurants and bars have planted flags in Logan Square, but the neighborhood is still in its infancy when it comes to retail. That’s where founder Noah Zagor comes in. A native New Yorker who worked for Helmut Lang and Steven Alan, Zagor hooked up with local DJ Tony Kim and woodsmith Ryan Bardsley in 2014 to introduce sartorially-inclined men to clothing lines like Common Projects and Eidos, as well as handmade soaps crafted with German sausage spices and vintage vinyl chosen expressly for this highly curated boutique. A de facto hangout in the area, the Scandi-style space is often filled with sharp-dressed dudes on the hunt for, say, a Longjourney mechanics coat or a Cause And Effect sterling-and-copper cuff. Kicks and headphones are also in stock. Regulars can see what’s new online, where the trio publish magazine-like features on interesting locals dressed in Meyvn’s wares, encouraging devotees both to come on in and shop, and visit favorite neighbors, like the much-adored book store, Uncharted Books. meyvnshop.com
