It’s a foolproof way to make that liquid gold.
If you've ever made browned butter in a skillet, then you know it can go totally wrong in just two seconds, but I'm gonna teach you how to make it virtually hands free and it's gonna change your life. [MUSIC] I was gifted this mad genius tip from my Baker friend Jesse Schein and the trick is the microwave. I know it sounds crazy but it actually really works. So I have a microwave safe bowl here, and I'm just gonna take a stick of butter. So I'm covering it with a sheet of parchment paper and a heat proof plate, which is gonna act as a lid. Pop this in the microwave on full power from anywhere from five to seven minutes. And just check it every minute until it's golden and it smells really nutty. [MUSIC] You've got to check this out. Take off the plate. Take off [UNKNOWN] paper and immediately it smells like brown butter and I'm loving it. Look at that golden color. I'd like to make a big batch of this and keep it in the refrigerator cuz with this [UNKNOWN] step I always have brown butter on hand. [MUSIC]
