Remember when apple roses were an Instagram sensation back in 2016? Everyone kinda forgot about them, but they’re still as impressive as ever—and way easier to make than you’d think.
Apple roses are all over the Internet and they can be really intimidating to make. But I'm gonna show you how simple they are. [MUSIC] [BLANK_AUDIO] So I have taken a sheet of puff pastry and I've cut it into 12 equal rectangles like this. And I'm gonna go ahead and spoon about a teaspoon of Apricot jam that I thinned out with a little water. And I've cut a couple apples into very thin half moons, and I'm gonna go ahead and arrange them on the top half of the rectangle. Look at this, just layering my apples on my pastry. And to give it tons of flavor, I'm gonna go ahead and sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar right on top. Like that, get a nice little coating of it. And then I'm going to fold over the bottom half of the pastry to cover the bottom of the apples. And we're gonna go ahead and loosely roll this up to form the rose. [MUSIC] Awesome little rose. Check that out. It's all spiraled. The green is really beautiful. We're gonna go ahead and pop this into our muffin tin. Just like that. The muffin tin is going to hold it all together while it bakes. Let's go for another one. Alright, I'm going to go ahead and roll my last rose. Just like that. And this is number 12. We have a dozen roses. [SOUND] I mean, they already look beautiful but we're gonna go ahead and pop these in a 325 degree oven for about 45 minutes. [SOUND] I've taken my apple roses out of the oven and I've let them cool slightly. I mean, is that not adorable? And to make it even prettier, I'm gonna go ahead and dust it with a little confectioner sugar. [SOUND]
