Get ready to make some epic travel plans! You’ll be itching to hit the road after checking out the results of this year’s Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards readers’ survey, which ranks the top destinations, properties, airlines, travel services and more (86 categories in total!).

“Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards provide a picture of what the world’s most discerning travelers are finding most satisfying in travel right now,” says Editor-in-Chief Nathan Lump. “What's clear to me this year is how much they are drawn to experiences that aren’t just enjoyable, but provide something richer—cultural immersion, mental and physical well-being, a true sense of adventure. It’s not easy to satisfy this group, but the destinations, hotels, and companies that are doing it know that today’ traveler cares about a lot more than creature comforts.”

This year’s top destination prize goes to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, named T+L’s World’s Best City 2017. Also making the top-10 list: Charleston, South Carolina; Chiang Mai, Thailand; Kyoto, Japan; Florence, Italy; Oaxaca, Mexico; Ho An, Vietnam; Cape Town, South Africa; Ubud, Indonesia; and Luang Prabang, Laos.

Thinking of booking a long-haul flight? Singapore Airlines takes the no. 1 World’s Best Airline spot for the 11th consecutive year. Coincidentally, this year’s World’s Best International Airport award goes to Singapore’s Changi Airport (domestically, Portland International Airport in Oregon takes the cake).

How about a cruise? This year’s World’s Best mega-ship ocean cruise line award goes to Cunard; the World’s Best large-ship ocean cruise line top honors go to Viking Cruises; World’s Best midsize-ship ocean cruise line accolades go to Paul Gauguin Cruises; and World’s Best small-ship ocean cruise line is awarded to Crystal Cruises.
