These Limited-Edition Mandalorian Teas Are Out of This World
When it comes to pop culture sensations of 2019, there's none that captured the Internet's attention as much as The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda. Once the hype began, obligatory fan merchandise (from mugs and t-shirts to animatronic dolls and even smart device stands) ensued. But it's rarer to see food items related to The Child—until now. The Republic of Tea and Disney collaborated on a set of teas inspired by the hit series, and we have an exclusive first look at the collection.
Each tin comes with 36 tea bags, and there's even a gift set that includes a combination of all three. In the Cara Dune herbal tea, flavor-hunters will enjoy the rooibos blend with fruity notes from hibiscus, mango, passion fruit, and strawberry. The green "Child" tea is mixed with honey, ginseng, and eleuthero to conjure up a Force-like zen, and Mando's black tea is a potent blend of leaves from Africa, South India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Darjeeling that'll jolt awake even the doziest bounty hunters in the morning.
As the brand behind some of the most unexpected yet delicious blends on the market (think caramel apple, red velvet chocolate, and lemon chiffon), it's no surprise that The Republic of Tea has come up with an out-of-this-world collection. This isn't its first TV-themed collaboration, though: Fans of Downton Abbey might have tried the brand's teas based on the hit British drama, including flavors like Mrs. Patmore's Pudding Tea.
