Travelers looking to head from the U.S. to Delhi, India, can now get tickets at discounted rates when booking with WOW Air.
The budget airline announced earlier this year that it would be expanding to Asia, with the first routes coming from nine different U.S. cities to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
The new service launched on Dec. 5, and WOW Air is now celebrating with promotional rates of $199 one-way flights. The flights area available from seven U.S. cities: Chicago (ORD), Boston (BOS), Newark (EWR), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Washington, D.C. (BWI). Travelers will want to note that the ticket price fluctuate in real-time, however, so flights from Pittsburgh are now starting at about $250 one-way.
The $199 one-way fares are currently available for travel through January of 2019, though travelers should keep an eye on WOW Air’s website for additional deals on the destination throughout the year.
Return fares start at about $250, meaning you can book a bare bones ticket for around $450. Passengers will want to note that amenities like checked baggage are not available on basic fares. WOW Air charges $69.99 to check in bags online and $89.99 to check in bags when checking in at the airport, though travelers can also book a variety of other seat selections that come with added amenities in the price.
Travelers looking to book tickets that provide amenities like a personal item, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, and seat selection can book tickets on WOW Plus, while WOW Comfy includes cancelation protection and additional legroom and WOW premium seats include two checked bags alongside cancelation protection, additional legroom, priority check-in, in-flight meals, expedited security screening, and no change fees.
WOW Plus seat flights start at around $300 one-way, while premium seats start around $700 one-way.
