The line of artisan and handcrafted vegan cheeses are made from the milk of cultured organic cashews. Traditional fermentation processes make the non-dairy cheese rich and creamy, and it's available in a variety of flavors (just like real cheese!).
A handful of the vegan cheeses are air-dried and aged after the culturing process, which give the cheese its sharpness, similar to dairy cheese (in fact, the cheeses continue to sharpen as they age). The non-dairy cheeses range from mild and creamy, to sharp and complex, and they're sold in both wedges and spreads.
And, Nuts for Cheese even looks like the real thing. The Super “Blue” cheese, for example, has marbling of spirulina, an algae powder considered a superfood. The Red Rind wedge is coated in turmeric and paprika to create a rind that’s so much like a washed-rind cheese it fooled us.
