Whether you live in London or plan on traveling there in the near future, one of the best things about the city is its vast selection of restaurants, pubs, and cafés. The options are truly endless, and we've found yet another eatery to add to your dining itinerary. Papillon, which officially opened to the public on June 12, perfectly emulates European café culture with a bright, airy atmosphere—the decor alone is Instagram-worthy. Located between London's Soho and Mayfair neighborhoods, the luxe spot offers breakfast, lunch, and light dinner, so it's perfect for any time of day.

Papillon lives in London's historic Hotel Café Royal, which has been enjoyed over the years by the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, Brigitte Bardot, Princess Diana, and Winston Churchill, to name just a few of its famous visitors. Over the past 150 years, Hotel Café Royal has built its prestigious reputation not only on its stunning interior and top-notch service, but also its dining options, so naturally, Papillon fits right in.

Even if the restaurant wasn't situated in these famous digs, Papillon would make a name for itself from the food alone. Inspired by both British and French influences, the menu features savory dishes such as duck confit and truffle rillettes, overseen by Executive Chef Jeremy Brown. On the sweet side, Executive Pastry Chef Sarah Barber has conceived an exquisite patisserie selection which includes six signature dessert jars that showcase her twist on classic British treats (think: jaffa cake, eton mess, and peach melba). Get your 'Gram ready.

Papillon is located at 68 Regent Street and is open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
