And they're sticking around full-time.

There are a lot of aspects of 2021 that might be different from 2020. However, it's almost certain that some things are going to stay the same. Among them, it would seem, is the continued onslaught of new Oreo flavors.

Just in time to test whatever resolution-based willpower you've accrued since January 1, it appears that Nabisco's signature cookie is now available in both Java Chip and Chocolate Hazelnut flavors, according to visuals and intel provided by Instagram snack hunter @JunkBanter.

That's right: not just one, but two distinct new varieties of Oreo, both made with real cocoa. First there's the Java Chip Oreo, which takes a coffee flavored-creme and imbues it with the taste of chocolate chips to really seal in all of the ice cream attributes you're looking for. What might prove even more wildly popular, however, is the introduction of the Chocolate Hazelnut Oreo. While Nabisco/Mondelez probably can't mention Nutella by name for trademark reasons, there's little doubt that the popularity of the sugary, chocolatey spread paved the way for this particular sandwich cookie.

Though we're less than a week into it, the introduction of these cookies proves that 2021 is off to a hot start for Oreo. Soon (if not already) we'll also see the "Brookie-O" featuring one creme with three distinct flavors (including, somehow, cookie dough). What a time to be alive.

While you might assume that the Java Chip and Chocolate Hazelnut Oreos are limited-time offerings, @JunkBanter's caption implies that these are, in fact, joining the Oreo family on a full-time basis. That might mean some past flavors might get the boot to make room in the product lineup, but let's just focus on the positives for now.

So if you love coffee ice cream but hate cold temperatures and/or love Nutella but hate utensils, then Oreo has already made your new year a bit better. Hopefully this is just the beginning.
