Hershey's Just Announced Their First Reese's Holiday Flavor and New Gingerbread Kit Kats
It's beginning to look a lot like ... well, fall, but that gives way to the holiday season. And that means the folks at Hershey's are ready to reveal how they'll be treating us this holiday season: with more candy.
Hershey's has just unveiled their newest and most exciting holiday releases, including new Reese's and Kit Kat flavors, and a sneakily familiar face on a beloved candy. The lineup, which spans an impressive 13 new treats, will be arriving in stores shortly (perhaps after that other candy-centric holiday in October), but we can't wait for you to learn all about them so you can be sure to grab the ones you want to try the moment you spot them.
Reese's Peanut Brittle Flavored Cups
Reese's is launching its first-ever holiday flavor, and there's never been a more perfect pair than this! The beloved peanut butter cups are combined with peanut brittle-flavored creme and crunchy peanut butter for a treat that is quite nostalgic — and very obviously an ideal first flavor extension for this sweet season. The new PB cups will come in the Big Cup, King Size, and Miniatures so you can gave a bite o' brittle any time you want (no candy thermometers needed).
Reese's Snack Size Trees Giant Gift Box
If you have a Reese's lover on your holiday list, stop your shopping. The ultimate gift is already decided: this 15-inch Christmas tree gift box that's filled with snack-size Reese's trees.
If they love Reese's trees but are not looking for the awesome responsibility of eating that many candies, Reese's is also launching a new four-pack of Reese's trees. That's the perfect addition to any stocking.
And if your favorite Reese's fan prefers the classic cups, look for the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Yardstick. It's exactly what you think it is: a whole three feet of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup packs.
Reese's Peanut Butter Ugly Sweater
The ugly sweater was once a derided piece of holiday apparel, but today, the ugly sweaters are sought after as much as any holiday gift. Indeed, some brands are even making ugly sweaters to capitalize on the love for (and holiday parties that honor) these tacky turnouts. Reese's is taking is a step further this year, by turning the duds into edible treats. The six-ounce Reese's Peanut Butter Ugly Sweater makes a fun gift for co-workers or a great door prize for your holiday party.
Hershey's Milk Chocolate Kisses With Grinch Foils
There's nothing mean about these Grinch-themed Hershey's Kisses. While the flavor is the classic milk chocolate, the wrappers are all new — and bedecked with the cynical grump's face, heart (that grew three sizes), and motto ("You're a mean one.").
If you're a fan of the Grinch storyline, there's also a whole candy cane of Grinch Kisses, topped with a little Grinch head. At just $2, that's a fun gift for classmates, neighbors, or stockings.
Kit Kat Gingerbread Miniatures
What's a holiday season without a new Kit Kat flavor? This year, the mad geniuses behind the crispy wafer candy is churning their flavored creme into a gingerbread-inspired coating. One bite, and you're instantly hit with the warm spices of a classic gingerbread. The creators didn't shy away from the cookie's punch of ginger and nutmeg. They'll only be available in the Miniatures form, which makes them fun to hand out with cards or to pop into gift boxes you're shipping to friends far and near.
Hershey's Sugar Cookie Bar
If you loved the new Hershey's Sugar Cookie Kisses last holiday season (psst—they're coming back this year), then you're going to really love the new Hershey's Sugar Cookie Bar. The luscious white creme from the Kisses is combined with the crispy sugar cookie in the classic Hershey's chocolate bar mold. These bars will be available for a limited time, so if you loved the Kisses (which were so limited last year, some folks never got a bag), grab a bar as soon as you see it.
York Peppermint Pattie Snowflakes
There's very little as cool and relaxing as an ice-cold York Peppermint Pattie (put them in the freezer overnight — you're welcome). And for the first time, you can "Get the Sensation" with a snowflake-shaped pattie. These would be super fun to keep in a candy dish during the holiday season, or to give to the person who keeps their local Target sold out of the unique pattie shapes (not that that's me).
Hershey's Milk Chocolate Reindeer
Let's give it up for a reindeer-themed treat that isn't Rudolph. Not that there's anything wrong with that red-nosed wonder. It's just that there are many other reindeer who deserve some love, and this year, Hershey's is giving props to Comet, Vixen, and Dasher with their own milk chocolate statues. These make great gifts for neighbors and friends.
The Whoppers Malted Milk Balls are getting a winter-themed makeover, which will make them so cute for decorating cupcakes and cakes. The malt balls are covered in a vanilla-flavored creme, but their center is that crispy bite you know and love. These new treats come in a theater-sized box, which makes them easy to gift, or enjoy them on a wintery movie night.
Heath Toffee Milk Chocolate Miniatures
We love toffee at the holidays, homemade or otherwise, so we're excited for these mini bites of the crispy, crunchy candy in this year's Hershey's holiday releases. The festive holiday packaging is beautiful and perfect for displaying in a candy dish. Or toss a few into a gift bag so your favorite people have a sweet bite of nostalgia with their gifts.
