Harry Potter Fans Can Enjoy a Magical Christmas Dinner at Hogwarts Again This Year
Step into your very own Yule Ball and see iconic film sets transformed with festive holiday cheer.
Starting mid-November, Harry Potter fans will be able to see some of the film’s most iconic sets transformed into winter wonderlands when The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London—The Making of Harry Potter brings back its Hogwarts in the Snow experience.
The studio tour, which includes a behind-the-scenes look at the impressive special effects and secrets used on set, will be filled with holiday cheer from Nov. 17 through Jan. 27, 2019.
Starting in the Great Hall, visitors will see the stage decorated exactly as it was for the memorable Yule Ball, with shimmering silver, sparkling snow, and hanging icicles bringing the fictional event to life.
Trees will surround the Great Hall, and its long tables will be covered in set props including cherry-studded hams, roast turkeys, and Christmas puddings just like the festive feasts in the films. An orchestra will bring even more magic to the scene.
Christmas festivities will be happening on most sets within the studio tour, including the Gryffindor common room and the boys' dormitory, where handmade holiday cards made by cast members will hang.
Snow will also be hand-sprinkled onto the fantastical Hogwarts castle model, and lit fireplaces throughout the tour will add to the cozy atmosphere.
For three special nights, visitors can also take part in a Christmas meal in the Great Hall. The dinner series, available on Dec. 10, 11, and 12, includes everything from welcome drinks and canapes to wands for personal magic-making.
Grand dishes like baked wild mushroom gnocchi and butter roasted, pork-stuffed turkey will be served.
Dinner guests will also get sweets treats like Christmas pudding at Platform 9 ¾ and a glass of Butterbeer before exploring Diagon Alley. They'll wrap up the night with music and dancing.
Tickets for Hogwarts in the Snow are currently available starting at about $51 per adult, and tickets for dinners in the Great Hall go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Sept. 25, with prices starting at about $316 per person. Guests at the dinner events must be 18 or older.
