Harpoon's New Beer Allows You to Help the Adorable (and Adoptable) Dogs on the Can
The annual Dogtoberfest helps you do good and drink a delicious beer while you’re at it.
Leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, flannel shirts are coming out– that’s right, it’s Oktoberfest season once again! If this year has shown us anything, it is the importance of our loved ones, including our furry family members! This fall, Harpoon Brewery has made it easy to enjoy a tasty brew while giving back to man's best friend with their annual Dogtoberfest beer release.
This brew is smooth and drinkable compared to many Oktoberfests and darker seasonal beers. It clocks in at 5.6% alcohol by volume (ABV) and comes in a 16-ounce can covered with adorable adoptable dogs. The earthy, spiced aroma pairs with a light, herby beer with hints of fresh baked biscuits (your pup would approve!). This super drinkable bronze beer would pair nicely with baked or grilled meats, like our Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Cherries, or baked goods like Savory Prosciutto Muffins on a crisp fall day.
The taste and the can art aren’t the only good things about the Dogtoberfest beer, it also helps you give back. One dollar for every four-pack of beer sold will go towards helping dogs at the Lucy Mckenzie Humane Society and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). Not only is the Dogtoberfest beer fun and delicious, but it is a brew you can feel good about buying. You can get your paws on the Dogtoberfest at either of Harpoon’s breweries in Boston, MA or Windsor, VT. It is also sold at several stores and bars across the country, and they even have a Beer Finder search tool on their website to help you find it. Do some good and drink some beer today with Harpoon’s Dogtoberfest. We will cheers to that!
