This $6,200 Food Tour Around NYC Serves up Caviar, Lobster, and the World’s Most Expensive Sundae
Put together by Cozy Meal, the over-the-top six-hour food tour is hosted by Chef Skiz, a world-renowned chef, teacher, and cookbook author. Skiz also happened to make his television debut alongside Anthony Bourdain in an episode of the late chef’s popular Travel Chanel show, No Reservations. Chef Skiz also currently teaches cooking classes and holds culinary events around the country. However, on this tour, Skiz is all about sharing his love of the Big Apple and its best bites.
The tour’s itinerary includes some of the most exclusive dishes in some of the best restaurants in New York City.
The day begins at Norma’s where guests will dig into the “Zillion Dollar Breakfast,” which includes Sevruga caviar and a lobster frittata. Guests will then have a bit more caviar with the restaurant’s signature caviar and champagne tasting.
Next, guests will tuck into the city’s most expensive sushi roll at Masa, where they will also sample rare truffles. After that, guests will taste true luxury with truffle Wagyu meatballs alongside a top-shelf wine tasting.
To end the day, guests on the tour will grab a spoon full of sugar with the Guinness Book of World Record’s most expensive sundae, made with Tahitian vanilla ice cream, 23k edible gold, rare chocolate, and Grand Passion caviar; served in a Baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet which they get to keep.
The tour can only take place if there are a minimum of two guests and a maximum of 10, so gather a few buddies who like to eat a lot and get booking. Oh, and one more thing to remember: Fine foods like this don’t come cheap. The opulent tour costs $6,200 per person, but your tastebuds will find the experience priceless.
