This Nashville restaurant is known for its ingenious Italian-Southern hybrid dishes, like white bean soup with pecorino and corn-bread crumbs. Gwyneth suggests stopping by the bar to grab a drink from the stellar bartenders.

Chad Robertson's famous mission bakery attracts large crowds for its amazing array of baked goods: feathery croissants, fine-crumbed scones and crisp-crusted loaves. Gwyneth took inspiration from Robertson's cookbook Tartine Bread to make her own bread with natural leaven.

This Venice Beach pizzeria has tons of buzz for its thin-crusted pizzas. (Gwyneth's favorite pie is the jalapeño and smoked mozzarella.) But the vegetables, like wood-roasted cauliflower with garlic, vinegar and chile, are also excellent.
