Whole Roasted Broccoli with Lemon and Chiles

Whole Roasted Broccoli with Lemon and Chiles

  • 1 whole lemon, thinly sliced

  • 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced

  • 3 dried whole chiles

  • Kosher salt

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 1/4 pounds broccoli


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°. In a large bowl, stir together the lemon slices, oil, garlic, chiles and 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Toss the broccoli with the mixture, then transfer it to a baking sheet. Roast the broccoli until it is crisp-tender and the lemons are browned, 15 to 20 minutes.
