Strawberry-Almond Smoothie

Coconut water and agave impart a lovely sweetness to this dairy-free smoothie.

  • 2 tablespoons raw almonds (soaked overnight and drained)

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

  • 2 dried white figs (coarsely chopped)

  • ½ teaspoon agave nectar

  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon


  1. In a blender, puree the almonds with the coconut water and salt until smooth. Strain the almond milk through a fine sieve. Rinse out the blender. Add the strawberries to the blender with the figs, agave nectar, cinnamon and the almond milk and puree. Pour into a tall glass and serve.
