Steamed Rice

4 cups


  • 1 1/2 cups medium-grain rice, well washed

  • 2 cups water


  1. In a heavy, medium saucepan, combine the rice and water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and let steam, covered, for 10 minutes before serving.
