Lame recipe idea. Sour dough is supposed to be hard for first time bread people until you understand that a yeast culture can be had easily from unwashed grapes, the dregs of a good craft beer, kombucha, Miso, etc., etc. all could be added to a little flour, nurtured, and time will give a wonderful reward of your very own sour dough starter. This article is so lame, you might as well tell your readers to go find their favorite bread in the store and package it up as their own home made bread when guests come over.
I think you meant to put 1 1/4 cups of liquid, not 1 3/4 cup. Instead of adding 25%, you have almost doubled it.
Cups? Really?? Come on, F&W, you know better. When will you start using weights?????
