Sautéed Swiss Chard with Garlic

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 pounds Swiss chard, stems discarded and leaves coarsely chopped

  • Salt


  1. In a large, deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil. Add the garlic and cook over moderate heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the chard and cook over moderately high heat, tossing, until wilted, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and serve.
