Rusty 2-60D

Thanks to Lapsang souchong tea, this iced drink is smoky and refreshing at the same time. It’s delicious hot or cold. Slideshow: More Refreshing Mocktails 

1 drink


  • 6 ounces boiling water

  • 1 tablespoon Lapsang souchong tea leaves

  • 5 saffron threads

  • 2 whole cloves

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • Ice

  • 1 lemon wedge (for garnish)


  1. In a heatproof measuring cup, combine the water, tea leaves, saffron and cloves. Let steep for 8 minutes. Stir in the honey until dissolved. Strain and let cool. Pour the drink into a chilled, ice-filled collins glass and garnish with the lemon wedge.
