I don't normally leave reviews but I had to in this case. it is absolutely the best turkey gravy! I believe it's thick enough to call a gravy. I didn't make any changes to the recipe and yes it did take quite a long time but since I had extra time this year I thought I'd give it a whirl. I will make time to do it every year going forward it's definitely worth the effort. And having the turkey stock to use for other dishes like stuffing everything just tasted wonderful!
I’m half way through this and think it will be phenomenal. But I wonder why you call this a jus when your recipe calls for corn starch as a thicker big agent? Isn’t a jus reduced to a naturally thick, silky sauce?
Super excited to try this recipe! Looking for deep flavor without flour and this looks perfect! Thanks for thinking outside the bag (of flour ;))
This looks delicious but seems like a lot of work, especially for our 2-person Thanksgiving this year. I always roast the turkey parts and veggies for the gravy. And everyone loves my gravy recipes. But it seems like a lot less work than this. Sorry.
