Robb Turner, owner of Crown Maple, uses syrup produced on his 800-acre organic maple farm to make this riff on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail. In addition to swapping out sugar with his richly flavored syrup, Robb muddles an orange wheel in the glass for an extra layer of tart citrus flavor. To finish, he tops off the cocktail with a splash of seltzer, which adds another form of acidity and opens up the nuances of the bourbon and maple syrup.
