Often associated with high-octane shots and happy-hour specials, the kamikaze has a history that can be traced back to a bar on the American naval base in Yokosuka, Japan, during the late 1940s or early ’50s. In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, lime juice and Cointreau. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled, ice-filled rocks glass or 2 shot glasses.
