Honey mustard may seem like a surprising addition to chicken fajitas, but the tangy sauce provides a refreshing update to the classic dish. Slideshow: Quick Chicken Recipes

How to Make It

Step 1    Make the Honey Mustard

Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Melt the butter and then stir in the garlic. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the garlic is lightly browned.

Step 2    Make the Honey Mustard

Whisk in the mustard and honey. Add Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 3 to 5 minutes or until thickened. Set aside.

Step 3    Make the Chicken Fajitas

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and then stir in the chicken. Cook for 2 minutes or until the chicken is lightly browned. Stir in the onion and bell pepper and cook with the chicken for 3 to 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Step 4    Make the Chicken Fajitas

Stir in the honey mustard and cook for another 2 minutes or until everything is well combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with tortillas and optional toppings.
