  • One 2-inch grapefruit wedge

  • Two 3-by-1/2-inch strips of yellow bell pepper, plus 1 thin strip for garnish

  • 2 large basil sprigs

  • 1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka

  • 1 ounce Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

  • Ice


  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the grapefruit with the yellow pepper strips. Tear and bruise the basil sprigs. Add the basil, vodka, Simple Syrup and citrus juices to the shaker, fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the thin yellow pepper strip.
