Forget the Winter

For this bright and refreshing drink, Paul McGee mixes in ruby port for its rich, dark-fruit flavors; two kinds of rum; and both Peychaud's and Angostura bitters for balance.

  • 1 ounce Trinidadian rum

  • 3/4 ounce ruby port

  • 1/2 ounce Jamaican rum

  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice

  • 3/4 ounce Simple Syrup

  • 1/4 ounce Peychaud's bitters

  • 1/4 ounce Angostura bitters

  • Ice


  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine all of the ingredients except ice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled ice-filled collins glass.
