Citrus Scandi

Kathy Casey pairs this drink with raw oysters. She puts a little aquavit in a small mister and spritzes the shucked oysters just before serving them. Slideshows:  Cocktails for the Coupe

Ingredients

  • 1 orange wedge

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka

  • 1/4 ounce aquavit

  • 1/4 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec

  • 3/4 ounce fresh grapefruit juice

  • 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup

  • Ice

  • 1 orange twist

Directions

  1. Squeeze the orange wedge into a cocktail shaker, drop it in, then add the vodka, aquavit, Cointreau, grapefruit juice and Simple Syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe or 2 shot glasses; pinch the orange twist over the drink and discard.
