I have a large family, we typically sit sixteen of us. I use a different recipe each year. At the moment of choosing the recipe, the time invested and things to do, we’re cons, however, I love a good challenge. There process was fun, the written step by step of this recipe is second to none. In short, citing members of my families, “your best turkey yet, for flavor and tenderness”. This on a 33lb turkey.
Absolutely fabulous recipe!!!!!! However, I highly doubt 2 (two) CUPS of Kosher salt to just 1 gallon of water. I prepared exactly as it was described in the recipe and turkey was melting in my mouth with great taste of spices and what not..... but it could only be served with beer.... Was that a typo?
After about 10 years of thanksgiving turkeys this is the first one that I actually loved. Super moist, a good amount of flavor without overpowering the turkey. I will 100% make this my standard turkey every year, with no changes.
