On a tucked-away corner in Manhattan's meatpacking district, Los Dados chef Sue Torres serves up homey Mexican food and excellent sangria and margaritas. She created this chocolate-accented cherry margarita to celebrate New Year's Eve.

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the brandied cherries with the lime juice. Add ice and the tequila and Cointreau and shake well. Strain into the prepared martini glass.
