Chartreuse Gin Daisy

Mixologist Patricia Richards swaps honey-sweetened yellow Chartreuse (a spicy herbal liqueur) for the usual grenadine in her simple Gin Daisy variation.

  • 2 1/4 ounces London dry gin

  • 1/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse

  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 ounce agave nectar

  • Dash of orange bitters

  • Ice

  • 1 brandied cherry, for garnish


  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, yellow Chartreuse, lemon juice, agave nectar and orange bitters. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the cherry.
