A Holiday-Themed Wizarding World Is Coming to Universal Studios Hollywood This Christmas
Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing the holidays to Hogwarts for a limited time, and with it comes an exclusive holiday dining experience.
Fans of Harry Potter know that one of the greatest times to be a part of the Wizarding World is during the fall and winter season. Between the glorious (and delicious) feasts and the festive, magical decorations, there’s no denying that the school of wizardry knows how to celebrate the holidays. Starting in November, guests planning to attend Universal Studios Hollywood will, for the first time, get the chance to immerse themselves in a wondrous and whimsical Christmas experience like that seen on the big screen.
Beginning November 24, 2017, this brand new event will see the entirety of the park made over with Yuletide-inspired decor as guests are offered a variety of new and limited-edition exclusives and entertainment. Snow-capped roofs and cobblestone streets will be filled with colorful light displays, joyous music, and themed storefronts, including the decorative and culinary transformation of Hogsmeade favorites the Three Broomsticks and Hog's Head pub. Both dining experiences will feature a magically authentic menu full of holiday-themed food and beverages, including a special holiday dinner and the return of Wizarding World favorite Butterbeer. The Magic Neep and Butterbeer carts will also get a special holiday makeover.
After you’ve dined, you can explore the rest of Hogsmeade, including the legendary sweet shop, Honeydukes. There, guests will be able to choose between a slew of fantastical sweets, including Acid Pops, Exploding Bonbons, Cauldron Cakes, Fizzing Whizzbees, and Chocolate Frogs, in a shop decorated in special holiday garlands and wreaths.
After you’ve satisfied your sweet tooth, you can visit various other locations and shops, where you can pick up a keepsake Gryffindor Quidditch robe and new, interactive namesake wands like the Cho Chang, Cedric Diggory, Yaxley and a Death Eater wand.
Fledgling wizards can explore this seasonal Hogwarts and Wizarding World experience through the New Year, as it runs from Thanksgiving Eve to January 7, 2018.
