Book Your Table for White Castle's 27th Annual Valentine's Day Dinner
Netflix's The Crown may have you dreaming of a romantic English castle getaway, but this Valentine's Day, Americans have been once again given the opportunity to celebrate their love at (and/or of) another form of castle: White Castle. But start drafting those passionate invitations as soon as you can, for the beloved corner-bearing burger chain is now accepting reservations for its 27th annual Valentine's Day dinner, which will take place on Wednesday, Feb 14 from 4 to 9 p.m.
With its soon-to-be 27th year straight of Valentine's Day dining, White Castle is going far to model the kind of commitment this holiday needs. As it nears the end of its twenties and starts to really think about settling down, though, the holiday dinner has brought a new feature into the fold. For the first time, St. Valentine's celebrants can book the White Castle dinner of their desire through OpenTable.com (or the OpenTable app), making it easier than ever to ensure that you will have your very own spot in the palace on this night. (You can also contact your local White Castle to book.)
To be clear, this isn't your standard night at White Castle: the Valentine's Day dinner includes hostess seating, tableside service and a limited-time Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Smoothie (with "a creamy blend of real strawberries and vanilla yogurt, and topped with a decadent layer of rich Ghirardelli premium chocolate sauce") that may pair better with a bag of hamburgers than your standard box of chocolates.
“Many couples have fond memories of first dates or even love at first sight here at White Castle, so Valentine’s Day has become a longstanding tradition for us and our customers," said White Castle VP Jamie Richardson in a statement. "We even have many Cravers who have shared their wedding vows among friends and family in our dining rooms," he added—though it's also worth noting that in case you can't make it out, the Castle unveiled nationwide delivery service via Grubhub last week as well.
The company also encourages groups of friends and families to attend (which actually sounds kind of fun), as well as to post photos on social media with the #whitecastle tag and/or use the limited edition White Castle Valentine's day Snapchat geofilter, because sometimes, it's nice to show the world just how dedicated your you are to your relationship with White Castle.
