Wawa Is Giving Away Free Coffee This Week
Here's how to get a free cup from your local Wawa.
If you missed Free Cone Day and Grilled Cheese Day just isn't your thing, it's time to perk up! A free cup of coffee is in your future—assuming you live in reasonable proximity to a Wawa store, that is. The chain of convenience stores celebrates its anniversary with an annual free coffee day promotion, and this year is no exception. In 2018, Wawa Day falls on Thursday, April 12 and customers looking for a buzzworthy deal will have one awaiting them inside all roughly 790 stores located in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
For Wawa's 54th anniversary, just show up to any Wawa location and you can snag a free coffee, any size you wish. Wawa expects that this year 2 million free cups of joe will make their way into customers' hands as the company's way of saying thank you.
Additionally, six regional Wawa stores will also be hosting parties throughout the day: 601 Ogletown Rd., Newark, DE; 441 NW 76th Ave., Lauderhill, FL; 3500 Woodsdale Rd., Abingdon, MD; 600 Route 38 East, Maple Shade, NJ; 2131 South Street, Philadelphia, PA; and 301 E Mercury Blvd., Hampton, VA.
“Wawa Day is a great day for us to all pause and thank the millions of customers we’ve served over the past 54 years who have made us an integral part of the communities we serve,” Wawa president and CEO Chris Gheysens said in a statement. “This year’s Wawa Day is particularly special because we are also celebrating that, in just over four years, through Wawa and The Wawa Foundation, we have supported thousands of non-profit organizations and achieved our goal of donating $50 million by 2018. We could have never done this alone, and thank all of our customers who gave generously to our in-store campaigns and who make everything we do possible. Happy Wawa Day everyone and cheers to you all!”
Of course, free coffee isn't the only deal to look forward to this month. There's a whole slew of freebies and discounts available on Tax Day, which falls on Tuesday, April 17 this year.
