All the Food Coming to Disney World's Toy Story Land
Despite the fact that Pixar's original Toy Story film came out back in 1995 (and it's upcoming fourth installment will be released a full 24 years later in 2019), the film about a jealous cowboy doll and a shiny new spaceman action figure who eventually end up friends is still tugging heartstrings. And finally, for fans of the films, Disney World is set to open the doors of new Toy Story Land in Disney's Hollywood Studios this summer. As with all Disney Parks sections, Toy Story Land will feature a host of unique food items to satisfy appetites for a snack and something unique to discover. The Disney Parks Blog recently released just what some of those Buzz-worthy items are. Here's what to expect when Woody's Lunch Box opens on June 30.
Lunch is definitely the focus, as the new eatery will serve up mostly sandwiches and drinks, along with desserts. But that doesn't mean breakfast won't be an important part of the menu. The above S'more French Toast Breakfast Sandwich is stuffed with chocolate ganache and marshmallows and topped with graham cracker crumbles. There's also a breakfast bowl filled with tater tots, gravy and scrambled eggs, and a Smoked, Turkey, Eggs, Swiss, Peppers and Onions on Sourdough that is, well, exactly those things. Below is the Banana Split Yogurt Parfait, which includes banana-vanilla Greek yogurt with honey, fresh bananas, strawberries, and pineapple, all topped with granola and chocolate chips.
But back to lunch: The BBQ Briskey Melt pays homage to Woody's day's on the range with a Texas-style smoked brisket, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, pickles, and barbecue sauce served on grilled, garlic butter sourdough.
It joins a Monte Cristo with Raspberry Jam, Smoked Turkey, Tomato, and Lettuce on Multigrain Bread, a grilled cheese sandwich, and Totchos that are topped with corn chips, chili, and cheese.
For dessert, you can indulge in two varieties of Lunch Box Tarts: A raspberry-filled version topped with icing and dried berries, and a chocolate-hazelnut-filled version topped with icing and caramelized bacon.
Specialty drinks will include soda floats made with soft-serve ice cream and (for grown-ups) a cherry vodka lemonade. Check out the full menu here.
And Disneyland visitors, don't despair: The L.A.-area park is getting its own Toy Story upgrade in the form of a Pizza Planet restaurant.
