We in the Test Kitchen are in the unenviable position of celebrating not one but two Christmas holiday seasons. (Are we lucky? I'm not so sure.) One is in November/December, when everyone celebrates, and the other is in July/August, which is when we're testing and developing recipes for the holiday issues. I find myself having two bouts of post-season let-downs, as well as a double dose of resolutions. And the diets seem endless. At least with this round, I don't have to try to fit into a swimsuit (sadly, no midwinter Caribbean vacation for me) We (the Test Kitchen crew) have endeavored to eat better as a team, and the recipes we're developing reflect our healthy outlook—for now. I start working on cupcakes next week.
