More than 800 items from the park’s history are up for sale during this California animation gallery’s online and live auction.
Disneyland’s culinary history is as long and as magical as the park's various attractions. Van Eaton Galleries, dedicated to showcasing an extensive selection of works from the earliest and latest days of animation, is holding a truly memorable auction where Disneyland fans (and foodies) will have the chance to bid on some of the park’s oldest surviving props, souvenirs, and artifacts.
Almost 800 items are up for sale, including many from various aspects of the park’s food and drink history. Bid on smaller items like Disneyland plates, glassware, and a colorful drink coaster set, or more odd and interesting items such as a Disneyland hamburger press, Swift's Restaurants paper placemats, and a pair of Disneyland 25th Anniversary Kraft posters.
Those looking to find something extra special will certainly want to get their hands on the boxed set of six Disneyland spoons and a Disneyland Fun Food Cook Book, a full 128-pages of recipes themed after the different lands of the park with illustrations of the various Disney characters and attractions.
Beyond the magic of Disney food, bidders can throw their mouse ears in the ring for larger, truly one-of-a-kind items. See if you can get your hands on an original 1957 The Haunted Mansion movie script, a complete furniture set from a Grand Californian Hotel room, Tower of Terror original attraction props, an animatronic Fuzzball from the Captain EO attraction, and more.
If you happen to be in the Sherman Oaks, California area, you can stop by the gallery and view the items during Van Eaton’s public exhibition, which runs through December 15. You can also start bidding online now or attend the live auction on December 16, 2017. It's certainly good timing for anyone looking to make a true Disney fanatic happy this holiday season.
