Nespresso and Morgenstern's Coffee Ice Cream Collaboration Is Doubly Decadent
The limited-edition double espresso flavor will be available for just one week in May.
Ice cream, it's a fact, is good. And great coffee, by definition, is great. What happens when an amazing ice cream maker and a high-end coffee brand come together? Coffee ice cream, sure. But a collaboration between Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream and Nespresso promises to not just be another coffee ice cream.
Starting Monday, May 14, you can get your hands on a limited-edition Nespresso Double Espresso ice cream at Morgenstern's ice cream shop in New York City (2 Rivington Street NY, NY 10002). At the same time, Nespresso is doubling down on new espressos with the addition of Double Espresso Chiaro and Double Espresso Scuro to its Vertuo line. In fact, the ice cream is indeed made with the Double Espresso Scuro blend to celebrate the new roasts. The result is an ice cream that has "a bold, indulgent taste with a citrus twist and a smooth and creamy texture," according to a statement from Nespresso.
The Nespresso Double Espresso ice cream won't just be served as a simple scoop either, as Morgenstern's will offer a few ways to enjoy the flavor. In addition to a regular scoop, it will be available in a monster cone or as a double dip. For a bit more indulgent options, whether that means more coffee or more sweets, you can try either of the two new Nespresso blends as the coffee portion of an affogato along with a scoop of any Morganstern's flavor you wish (including the Nespresso flavor). Or have the Nespresso Double Espresso ice cream as a s'mores-inspired sundae with graham cracker, fudge, and marshmallows.
