One of the most beloved figures to emerge from beloved-figure-generator The Great British Bake-Off, Nadiya Hussain is starring in a brand new Netflix series about simple, inexpensive home cooking.

Nadiya's Time to Eat, which premieres on April 29, will offer Hussain's tips and tricks for cooking satisfying family meals when you're short on time and budget. Since winning the sixth season of GBBO in 2015, Hussain has been a BBC fixture and released several books, including her memoir, Finding My Voice, and the cookbook Time to Eat.

"To make more space for the things that really matter, I've stopped feeling guilty about taking shortcuts and I've started to embrace every cheat in the book," she's says in the show's trailer. "In this series, I'll show you how to rustle-up amazing, stress-free recipes using my cheeky time-smart hacks, so you can free up time to do the things you love with the people you love."

In 2017, Hussain inked a development deal with BBC, but this marks the first time she's starring in her own streaming series. In The Chronicles of Nadiya, a 2016 docu-series, she traveled to Bangladesh, where her parents grew up, to connect with her culinary heritage. In 2019, she starred in a BBC series also called Time to Eat, and the network has also confirmed that she'll be starring in the forthcoming series Nadiya's American Melting Pot and Nadiya Bakes.

In addition to demonstrating recipes and hacks, the new Netflix show will follow Hussain as she finds out "how some of our favorite shortcut ingredients are made and going to the rescue of time-poor households across the U.K." The series seems to be dropping at the perfect time, as more households are stretching pantry ingredients and staying home for dinner.

Nadiya's Time to Eat can be streamed on Netflix starting April 29.
