Le Creuset Just Launched a Famously Popular Color—and It's Already Selling Out

We always eagerly await a new Le Creuset color release, and this September's edition is a delightful surprise. The rare blue hues of Marseille have been sunsetting but a new blue is in town, and it's the pop of color our kitchen needs before the grey days of winter approach. Azure is Le Creuset's new release for fall 2021, and it's turning heads already.

The rich color inspired by mineral azurite is as bright as the Mediterranean sky and looks as great as a complement to warm-tone kitchens as it does as a monochromatic addition for Cobalt and Marseille Le Creuset collectors. It's no surprise that it's selling fast on the brand's website as well as on Sur La Table, no kitchen tool has as serious a following as the brand has garnered, from factory-to-table sales to limited releases for other mega-fan bases.

Right now shoppers are already nabbing the classic Dutch oven from Le Creuset's site (the 5.5 quart is still available on Sur La Table for $370), and it won't be long before other sizes start to sell out. We recommend three staples: the enameled signature cast iron skillet, the 3.5-quart braiser, and the handy stovetop grill (currently on sale for just $100).

There is only one oval Dutch oven available in Azure, and that's the 8 quart—perfect for large families and holiday gatherings. It's even on sale for the time being at just $300 (originally $440). Two other items are also on sale, including the 3.5-quart sauteuse ($180 instead of $300) and the square grill ($100 instead of $155).
