Krispy Kreme Teams Up with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on Cereal Milk Doughnuts

As far as mainstream doughnut brands are concerned, Krispy Kreme is pretty forward-thinking. This is the company that, a mere two months ago, shoved an entire Twix bar inside of a doughnut. So, yes, the whole "cereal milk" trend isn't exactly new — it's been well-over a decade since Milk Bar first opened — but when Krispy Kreme brings the flavor to their doughnuts for the first time, they're going to do it right… with the help of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Today, Krispy Kreme (which has a history of name-brand collaborations) announced they were once again partnering with Cinnamon Toast Crunch to release a trio of cereal milk-flavored doughnuts. Last September, the cereal primarily served as a topping for Krispy Kreme's first stab at producing cinnamon rolls. But this time around, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is lending its flavors into a brand new cinnamon milk doughnut glaze.

The resulting limited-time-only doughnuts come in three varieties. The Cinnamon Milk Glazed Doughnut is your standard Krispy Kreme doughnut covered in a glaze made with actual Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. The Cinnamon Milk Glazed Doughnut with Cream Cheese has an additional topping of cream cheese icing and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal pieces before being sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. And finally, the Cinnamon Milk Glazed Doughnut with Dulce de Leche swaps out the cream cheese icing for a dulce de leche icing, but still gives customers those Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal pieces and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

"Partnering again with Cinnamon Toast Crunch is great and we know there's a lot of desire for cereal milk inspired treats," Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing officer, stated. "The creamy, cinnamony glaze on our light, fluffy doughnut is a great new taste combination that our fans will love!"

Krispy Kreme says these Cinnamon Milk Glazed doughnuts will be sold at participating stores either individually or by the box, with the latter coming in limited-edition, cereal box-inspired packaging that even has a word search on the back.
