KitchenAid is ubiquitous when it comes to household appliances, and the brand just announced a new category in their huge catalogue: they’re cutting the cord (so to speak). All three of their new small appliances are cordless, and we can’t wait to see them in action.

The new Cordless Collection featuring a Cordless Hand Blender, 5-Cup Food Chopper, and 7-Speed Hand Mixer. Their Lithium Ion batteries charge fully in under two hours, and an indicator light signals when it’s time to recharge. All three come in classic colors including Black Matte, Blue Velvet, Empire Red, Matte Charcoal Grey, Onyx Black, Passion Red, and White.

For those with limited kitchen space, oddly placed outlets, or who want tools they can use on the go (camping, anyone?), the cordless options are a game-changer. The collection will be available in the spring, but we got a sneak peek. Read on for the details on each new KitchenAid kitchen tool.

KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender: $100

KitchenAid

The lightweight hand blender can make 25 bowls of soup on a full charge. A four-point stainless steel blade design makes everything from purées to smoothies with ease. Add on the chopper and whisk attachment for an extra $50

KitchenAid Cordless 5-Cup Chopper ($100)

The cordless chopper can handle up to 40 onions on a full charge, or 11 onions on a quick charge (10 minutes) if you’re in a pinch. The whisk accessory can also whip and stir for ingredients like whipped cream.

KitchenAid Cordless 7-Speed Hand Mixer ($100)

KitchenAid

Make up to 200 cookies on a full charge with this 7-speed blender. It has a slow start feature that prevents splatters, and it’s designed to stand on its own so you’re not leaning it on your workspace or resting it in your bowl.
