Food & Wine's Editorial Guidelines Published on September 16, 2021 Share Tweet Pin Email Sneaker brands crossing over into the food and beverage world has become pretty common: from logical collaborations — like Gatorade and Nike teaming up for sports drink-hued Air Jordans — to pairings that simply make for fun publicity, like slider-themed shoes from White Castle and Puma. Courtesy of Reebok x Jelly Belly On the latter side of that spectrum, here's a new collab announced today: Do jellybeans and footwear have any sort of inherent connection? Not that I can think of. But that's not stopping Reebok from teaming up with Jelly Belly on a five-shoe collection of sneakers inspired by America's best-known jellybean brand — perhaps giving customers a chance to jog off a belly of their own. (Okay, I found a very loose connection.) Courtesy of Reebok x Jelly Belly Launching on Reebok's website on September 26 before receiving a larger global release two days later, the Reebok x Jelly Belly footwear collection has all its bases covered: Five silhouettes for both adults and kids in unisex sizing ranging in price points between $90 and $130, all of which are inspired by Jelly Belly flavors (which is to say they are all very colorful!) and featuring the brand's logo on the heel. Plus, one other connection, Jelly Belly explains that the shoes incorporate "a sustainable bio textile that is sourced from sugarcane." So there's that! As for the sneakers themselves, here's the rundown: Courtesy of Reebok x Jelly Belly First, the Beanboozled ($110, adult sizes only) is inspired by Jelly Belly's BeanBoozled game — the one where some flavors are normal but others purposefully taste gross. "The upper of the shoe references all the BeanBoozled flavors in the latest 6th edition version as well as the 'CAUTION' graphic from the packaging," the brands explain. Courtesy of Reebok x Jelly Belly Second, the Instapump Fury ($130, sizes infant to adult) features "some of the brightest fruit flavors Jelly Belly has to offer," resulting in a multi-color upper paying homage to Jelly Belly's sour cherry, pink grapefruit, berry blue, lime, and plum varieties. Courtesy of Reebok x Jelly Belly Third, the Club C Revenge ($90, sizes infant to adult) is said to be inspired by classic summer treats incorporating the color scheme of flavors like strawberry daiquiri and caramel corn on the stripes, tongue, heel, and lining. "The top lace hole has even been replaced with a chocolate pudding jelly bean detail," they add. (Somehow, this is the most subtle of the five not-very-subtle shoes.) Courtesy of Reebok x Jelly Belly Fourth, the Club C Legacy ($110, adult sizes only) offers a nod to some "favorite flavors" including lemon lime, island punch, and cream soda. "Other features include contrast stitching throughout and a gradient mid panel," the announcement states. The LTO shoes will initially be available online at Reebook.com/jelly_belly. From there, they can also be purchased online at Amazon and Zappos or in-store at Reebok and Finish Line locations.
