Fried Jell-O Takes Top Prize at the Texas State Fair
There’s always room for Jell-O and this time it’s in the deep fryer.

The classic cherry concoction, breaded in panko and fried, was a hit with this year’s judges: a bull rider, a radio personality, a chef, a city councilwoman and a randomly-selected audience member.
Crinkle-cut cookie fries (which look and sound freakin' delicious) took home the prize for Most Creative, while semifinalists included a bacon burger dog slider on a stick and chicken pot pie pocket with mac 'n' cheese dip.
Everything may be bigger in Texas, but apparently nothing more than their fair-goers' appetites. We're certainly not judging.
