When it comes to the restaurant world, it doesn't get more serious than Eleven Madison Park, which has the current first place ranking on the World's 50 Best Restaurant's list. It is, however, about to get more Sirius, thanks to the launch of "First Date with Will Guidara," a new six-week series airing exclusively on SiriusXM's Insight channel.

Guidara is the co-owner of Make It Nice, the hospitality group that operates Eleven Madison Park, NoMad and Made Nice. The show features in-depth conversation with Los Angeles' top chefs and restaurateurs, all approached, according to the show's description, "as someone would a first date"—i.e. with the intent of really getting to know each other.

Guests include Kogi BBQ's Roy Choi, Maude's Curtis Stone, the James Beard Award-winning chefs Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook (behind Son of a Gun, Animal and Trois Mec), Night+Market (and 2016 Food & Wine Best New Chef) Kris Yenbamroong and more. And Guidara's efforts to get to know the city's iconic chefs and culinary scene have a very real motivation: Guidara and Make It Nice co-owner Daniel Humm opened the first L.A. outpost of NoMad just last month, and his journey to the new home is a core motivator of the show.

The first episode premiered on February 20 on SiriusXM's Insight Channel 121 at 6:00 p.m., and featured Dotolo and Shook. Interestingly, Guidara has also previously said that because he spends so much time with co-workers, interviewing potential hires at Eleven Madison Park is also "like a first date," so perhaps that will also give you an idea of what his interviewing style is like. Or, at least, of his dedication to the world of food.

If you want to experience the food-based intimacy for yourself, you'll have to subscribe to SiriusXM, or use the SiriusXM home or mobile app on one of many compatible devices out there. Will Guidara and his guests be as compatible? There's only one way to find out.
