Last year, the brand was an early adopter of the oat milk trend, adding the non-dairy option nationwide. Now, another plant-based milk alternative is getting the nod: coconut milk. Dunkin' says coconut milk will begin rolling out to locations nationwide this Thursday, April 28—joining the aforementioned oat milk and almond milk (which was launched in 2014) as the three non-dairy options customers can use to customize any of the chain's beverages. (Not that it's a competition, but that still leaves Dunkin' one milk alternative behind Starbucks which added soymilk in 1997, coconut milk in 2015, almond milk in 2016, and oat milk last month.) Dunkin' An,d of course, you can't add a new milk alternative without showcasing it in new menu items—so say hello to Coconut Refreshers and the Coconutmilk Iced Latte. The former are billed as the "perfect pick-me-ups [with] a boost of energy and bursts of flavor, combining coconut milk, flavored fruit concentrate, and B vitamins." They arrive in three colorful varieties: Pink Strawberry features strawberry and dragonfruit flavors, Golden Peach offers peach and passion fruit flavors, while Purple Pomegranate combines blueberry and pomegranate flavors. Dunkin' regulars will recognize these "Refreshers" as a coconut-y spin on the brand's existing iced green tea drinks of the same name launched last year. Dunkin' Meanwhile, Dunkin's other new drink—the Coconutmilk Iced Latte—is described as "a delicious blend of roasted espresso notes and subtly sweet, nutty coconut" offering coconut milk's "creamy, smooth texture and hints of coconut" resulting in "a fun, tropical twist [with] just the right amount of sweetness." "The start of the summer season is the perfect time to expand our menu with coconutmilk, another exciting non-dairy choice for our guests," Jill Nelson, Dunkin's vice president of marketing and culinary, said in the announcement. "From our colorful Dunkin' Coconut Refreshers to our creamy Coconutmilk Iced Latte, Dunkin' is crafting the coolest coconutmilk beverages to keep our guests refreshed and running, throughout summer and all year-long." As one final celebration of coconut milk, Dunkin' says its medium-sized Coconut Refreshers will be available for $3 from April 28 to May 25. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
