Chipotle to Launch Makeup Line with 'Lettuce' and 'Mild Salsa' Eyeshadow

Made in collaboration with e.l.f. Cosmetics, the limited-edition products also include an Extra Guac face sponge set and Make It Hot plumping lip gloss.

In the past year or two, it seems like almost every fast-food or fast-casual restaurant has dropped its own merch, whether it's as a tie-in with a long-awaited menu item, because customers realized that the uniforms looked dope, or because it's basically against the law not to sell a tie-dye t-shirt right now.

Chipotle already has an online store where you can score everything from a denim jacket with an avocado-print lining to an iPhone case that looks like a foil burrito wrapper (and two different tie-dye tees, obvs). It has also announced four new items that will ensure you look your very best the next time you're paying extra for guac on the side.

The California-based chain is collaborating with e.l.f. Cosmetics on a limited-edition line of cruelty-free, vegan cosmetics, which have all been inspired by Chipotle's menu—and its most essential ingredients. "There is nothing tastier or prettier than the combination of burritos and makeup!" said Kory Marchisotto, e.l.f. Beauty's Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement. "We have long admired Chipotle and we are thrilled to come together to do things that neither one of us have done before."

The four items in the e.l.f. x Chipotle collection include a Chipotle Eyeshadow Palette ($16) with a dozen different shades that range from a shimmery Mild Salsa to a deep green Lettuce; a Make It Hot plumping lip gloss ($8); an Extra Guac Face Sponge Set ($10) that comes with two adorable avocado-and-pit shaped sponges; and the Eyes Chips Face Makeup Bag ($18) that looks enough like Chipotle's tortilla chip bag that you'll do a double-take every time you open the bathroom cabinet.

The e.l.f. x Chipotle collection will be released on Wednesday, March 10, on elfcosmetics.com, chipotlegoods.com, and on mobile-shopping platform NTWRK (and members of e.l.f.'s Beauty Squad will get first dibs on the drop, with access to the goods on Tuesday, March 9). If you're already considering whether to add that eyeshadow palette or the lip gloss to your virtual cart, you might want to decide before next Wednesday. Last spring, e.l.f. x Chipotle debuted a nine-piece bundle that was neatly packaged in a 'foil-wrapped' makeup bag. The $43 collection sold out in less than four minutes.

Chipotle is also releasing the Eyes. Chips. Face. Bowl. on March 10, and the "beauty-inspired all-vegan entrée" will be available on the Chipotle app and on Chipotle.com. The plant-based bowl, which was curated by drag queens Trixie Mattel and Kim Chi, is a combination of white rice, pinto beans, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo red salsa, guac, and lettuce, and it's accompanied by a side of chips. "Superfoods are a superpower," Marchisotto said. "We love the Eyes. Chips. Face. Bowl and how it nourishes the body, ignites the taste buds and invigorates the soul."

Just don't spill any of that salsa on your tie-dye shirt.
