The Cheesecake Factory Will Donate a Meal for Every DoorDash Delivery This Month
With 50 signature cheesecakes and desserts, The Cheesecake Factory produces quite a lot of output, so it's a good thing the chain is devoting some of those resources to supporting hunger relief organizations around the country. In its latest act, the Factory will donate one meal to Feeding America for every delivery order made with DoorDash during the month of February—and, to sweeten the already sweet move, all orders placed between February 1 through 7 will be delivered for free.
The Cheesecake Factory's February donation program is just one of multiple philanthropic ventures embarked on by the nation's highest-profile cheesecake manufacturer. Since 2008, it's donated more than $4.2 to Feeding America, whose nationwide network of food banks helps feed the one in seven Americans who struggle to afford food. Technically, for every order placed at a participating restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory will donate $0.10 to Feeding America, where every dollar helps provide at least ten meals. Which, with 41 million Americans struggling with hunger, including 13 million children, goes a long way.
But the chain is also is part of a Harvest Food Donation Program which helps it regularly donate fresh food from restaurants to local food rescue operations, to be distributed to soup kitchens and shelter, to the tune of 4.4 million pounds of food since 2007. And no, if you're wondering, they were not all cheesecakes, as The Cheesecake Factory, for those uninitiated, boasts a menu of over 250 different items, all of which can be delivered Factory-direct through DoorDash at restaurants in more than 70 cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and Las Vegas.
If you've never had the pleasure of a Cheesecake Factory cheesecake being brought straight to your door, this February seems like the time to start, especially with that week of free delivery, which doesn't even require a code. With its Famous Brown Bread is now available in grocery stores too, it seems The Cheesecake Factory is easier to bring into your life than ever.
